MSN Error 8100030e

Dated September 19th 2007

A user couldn't login to MSN. When started MSN messenger or WLM (Windows Live Messenger), unable to sign in and the following message displayed;

"Signing in to Windows Live Messenger failed because the service is temporary unavailable." Error Code: 800701f6 or 8100030e.

Tips to solve this error:

1) Register softpub.dll
Click Start, then Run, type regsvr32 softpub.dll. Restart MSN messenger or Windows Live Messenger.

If this doesn't work then you may need to re-register a few more dll files.
1) regsvr32 Msxml3.dll /s
2) regsvr32 Dssenh.dll /s
3) regsvr32 Slbcsp.dll /s
4) regsvr32 Sccbase.dll /s
5) regsvr32 Wintrust.dll /s
6) regsvr32 Initpki.dll /s
7) regsvr32 Rsaenh.dll /s
8) regsvr32 Mssip32.dll /s
9) regsvr32 Cryptdlg.dll /s

This will certainly solve the problem. For more on MSN errors, you can visit the site http://msn-errors.blogspot.com. Cheers
